My career started as a professional dancer touring both nationally and internationally performing contemporary repertoire, with renowned dance companies such as The Richards Alston Dance company and Rambert Dance Company. I have taught extensively at various dance colleges/institutions and have always held an interest in anatomy and how the body moves. I completed a Massage qualification back in 1996 with The Holos (now The Massage Training Institute) and after retiring from Rambert Dance Company took a Personal Training and Sports Massage Diploma with Premier International, went on to take a Level 5 Diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage with the North London School of Sports Massage and trained with Ruth Duncan in Integrated Myofascial Therapy. My career as a therapist led me to work in clinic alongside chiropractors, at various marathon events and the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and I felt I wanted to add to this skill set by revisiting Pilates which was part of my training as a dancer. So I then went on to become a Stott Pilates instructor.
I have held my own practice TheMassageBase since 2008 and since acquiring ThePilatesBase am very excited to share my knowledge and help people to take control of their bodies and ultimately create ease of movement for a healthier and fitter life.
I am registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and the Sports Massage Association (SMA).

Born in Leeds Glenn trained in ballet and contemporary dance at The Rambert School and joined the prestigious Rambert Dance Company in 1987 performing nationally and internationally for seventeen years. While in the company Pilates was an essential part of his rigorous weekly training alongside daily ballet and contemporary dance classes, weight training, stretching and cardio work. He trained with Master Pilates instructor Dreas Renyeke who has a studio in Notting Hill, London. Dreas was also a dancer with Rambert in the 1960’s and was one of the pioneers who brought Pilates to London in the 1970’s when Pilates was unheard of.
Glenn has over thirty years experience teaching contemporary dance technique to students and professionals globally, he is also a guest assessor for many of the UK’s leading dance schools and colleges. He recently mentored the winner of BBC Young Dancer Connor Scott. Currently he is working with students of the Royal Ballet School in London.
Alongside his teaching Glenn is also a choreographer and has created works for Rambert Dance Company. The Olympic Torch Relay 2012. Resident and Associate Choreographer for Dirty Dancing London, UK Tour, South Africa, Germany and Asia. Resident and associate Choreographer for Billy Elliot London and the UK and Ireland Tour, Choreographer for Sinatra the Man and his Music London.
Glenn will be STOTT PILATES certified in the summer and is extremely excited to share his wealth of physical knowledge and experience with future clients of TheMassage&PilatesBase.

Hayley has been teaching Pilates since 2007. Coming from a dance background, and dancing all over the world, on cruise ships, and various shows and events Hayley first got introduced to pilates whilst dancing.
Hayley started teaching aerobics and dance based classes in gyms but saw greater benefits from Pilates so as her dance career came to an end Pilates is the path she took and loves to teach it and to do it.
Hayley has certified with STOTT PILATES, on mat and all the equipment which includes reformer, cadilac, chair and barrels.. She has also done injuries and specialist populations. Hayley also recently passed the pink ribbon programme, which is an exercise programme for people recovering from, or going through breast cancer.
Hayley has worked with a wide range of people on a one to one basis and group classes. She started teaching in gyms, and private clients, and has been at complete Pilates since 2009.
Hayley has worked with people with back problems, pre and post natal and fit people wanting to gain more core strength and has seen great results.
Hayley also still does a little performing as an areal acrobatic performer as a wine Angel.
Hayley loves to do Pilates, loves to teach Pilates and loves to see the results it can bring.
STOTT PILATES® Trained Instructor
Following a background in ballet dancing and gymnastics when she was younger Lindsey worked full time in various industries including investment banking, engineering, fashion and property. It was during this time that Lindsey somehow found the time to pursue her true passion of working in the fitness industry, a passion she has continued for over twenty years. Qualifying for and working on the gym floor and Personal Training in health clubs, alongside teaching classes including Aerobics, Boxercise, Circuit Training, Kettlebells, Spinning, Aqua-aerobics, Core Stability, Senior Body Conditioning and Body Conditioning.
Over the following years, Lindsey continued to pursue an increasingly holistic approach; qualifying in and practicing Reflexology, Swedish and Sports Massage, Indian Head Massage and Reiki, strongly believing in an ethos of uniting a healthy body inside and out.
Following the birth of her second child Lindsey continued to practice and teach full-time, increasingly finding interest in people’s various reasons for training. It was her discovery of Pilates that Lindsey realised encompassed these ideals and beliefs, Lindsey qualified as a level 3 Pilates instructor in 2015, she is GP exercise referral, and lower back pain qualified and has developed a love for the benefits that she sees it holds for her clients and hopes to continue to develop and expand her training and qualifications.

Kirsty has been practicing Pilates for several years having suffered minor back problems since her teens. These problems were aggravated during pregnancy and this is when Kirsty discovered TheMassage&PilatesBase. During these sessions with Sam, Kirsty discovered the benefits of STOTT PILATES and how the exercises are a valuable tool in the prevention and care of back problems.
It was an easy decision to train to be an instructor when the opportunity arose and Kirsty opted to leave a 15 year career in Accountancy for a healthier, less stressful lifestyle. Kirsty has trained with STOTT PILATES® on mat and is continually furthering her studies.
STOTT Pilates® Trained Instructor
Having danced from the age of 3, Vicky continued to dance and perform for the next 20 years and trained as a dance teacher alongside study towards a university degree in Marketing.
Taking a break from teaching to pursue a career in marketing, Vicky then went on to work within Marketing for various industries including teaching and education.
Vicky first discovered Pilates in recent years after having her children. As a stressed mum wanting to get back to fitness and exercise, she tried various ways but didn’t connect with anything until she started taking Pilates classes at TheMassage&PilatesBase.
Instantly Pilates became a big part of her life and she soon developed a real passion for this very beneficial form of exercise. When her youngest son started school this left an opening for Vicky to start a new career. With a background in teaching and a love for Pilates she was keen to make this become part of her life and was delighted when offered the opportunity to train and work alongside some of the best instructors in the STOTT Pilates industry.
Sports/Remedial Massage Therapist
Having always had an interest in sport and fitness Laura gained her massage qualification at NLSSM in 2014, having previously worked in finance. During her training she volunteered as part of the 2013 London Marathon team to help the runners after completing the event.
Since gaining her qualification she has had two children which gave her the drive to complete the Jenny Burrell Pre/Post pregnancy massage CPD.
Laura’s main interest and hobbies are: Pilates, scuba diving and skiing. She also enjoys getting out for walks with her children, puddle jumping and spending time at her allotment.
